UConn Announces BIG EAST Opponents
For 2005-06 Men's Basketball Season
STORRS, Conn. (July 7, 2005)-- The University of Connecticut
men’s basketball team will play a 16-game BIG EAST Conference schedule
in 2005-06 highlighted by two contests each with Louisville, Syracuse
and Villanova.
The BIG EAST men’s basketball conference will consist of one division and the
16 conference members will play three schools home and away, five schools at
home only, five schools away only and will not play two schools.
In addition to its home-and-home series with the Cardinals, Orange and
Wildcats, UConn will host games against Cincinnati, Georgetown, Notre Dame,
Pittsburgh and St. John’s. The Huskies will travel to Marquette, Providence,
South Florida, Seton Hall and West Virginia. UConn will not play DePaul or
Rutgers during the regular season.
Dates and times of all conference games, as well as the remainder of the
UConn schedule, will be released at a later date.
