HAMDEN, Conn. (Sept. 24) – The University of Connecticut
men’s cross country team took second place at the Quinnipiac Invitational on
Friday. The team finished with 30 points, just three points behind first-place
Quinnipiac (27 points).
The Huskies were led by sophomore Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.), who
placed second overall with a time of 26:01.9, narrowly behind the Bobcats’ Mark
Driscoll, who finished with a time of 26:01.0.
Freshman Paul Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) followed for UConn in fourth with
a time of 26:21.8, senior captain Pat Blake (Lebanon, Conn.) took sixth
with a time of 26:35.5, freshman Colin Meyers was eighth with a time of
26:41.1 and classmate Will Melofchik (Wayside, N.J.) rounded out the top
ten with a time of 26:45.6.
Connecticut returns to action when it travels to Boston, Mass. for the New
England Championship on October, 8th.
