Men’s Cross Country Takes Second at Quinnipiac Invitational
Feldman finishes second overall, Huskies place five runners in top ten

HAMDEN, Conn.  (Sept. 24)The University of Connecticut men’s cross country team took second place at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Friday. The team finished with 30 points, just three points behind first-place Quinnipiac (27 points).

The Huskies were led by sophomore Max Feldman (Easton, Conn.), who placed second overall with a time of 26:01.9, narrowly behind the Bobcats’ Mark Driscoll, who finished with a time of 26:01.0.

Freshman Paul Durfee (Laconia, N.H.) followed for UConn in fourth with a time of 26:21.8, senior captain Pat Blake (Lebanon, Conn.) took sixth with a time of 26:35.5, freshman Colin Meyers was eighth with a time of 26:41.1 and classmate Will Melofchik (Wayside, N.J.) rounded out the top ten with a time of 26:45.6.

Connecticut returns to action when it travels to Boston, Mass. for the New England Championship on October, 8th.
