Huskies to Visit White House
STORRS, CT -- On behalf of President George W. Bush, the 2003
University of Connecticut National Championship women’s basketball
team will take part in the 2003 NCAA Winter Champions Day on Tuesday,
June 17, 2003, at the White House in Washington, D.C.
The Huskies will join the Syracuse University men’s basketball team,
University of Minnesota- Twin Cities men’s ice hockey team and the University of
Minnesota- Duluth women’s ice hockey team in the East Room of the White House at
3 p.m. on Tuesday to be honored by the President.
