Huskies Outplay Miami at Gampel, 83-65

Senior Maria Conlon had four rebounds, four assists and two steals in UConn's win over Miami.

Sophomore Willnett Crockett played 12-minutes off the bench. She had four points and three rebounds.

Freshman Liz Sherwood was two-for-three in shooting scoring four points and adding two rebounds.

Sophomore Ann Strother had another solid outing for UConn. She scored 17 points and grabbed six boards. She also had three assists and three blocked shots.

Senior Diana Taurasi led all players with 21 points. She had seven rebounds, three assists and a career-high six steals.

Sophomore Barbara Turner had five's across the line. She scored five points, had five rebounds and five assists.

The University of Connecticut field hockey team was honored by the Connecticut Division of Athletics during halftime of the women's basketball game. The field hockey team advanced to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the sixth time in eight years.
