Huskies Compete At Head of the Charles
BOSTON (Oct.
24) -- The University of Connecticut women’s rowing team finished
in 18th place of 50 crews on Sunday at the collegiate eight
event at the Head of the Charles Regatta. Due to the windy condition
on the course, the race was shortened from three miles to 2.3 miles.
The
Huskies finished ahead of several crews, including Rhode Island and Coast
Guard, which beat UConn earlier in the season at the Head of the Riverfront in
Hartford.
The
lineup for UConn included Abbey Off, Katie Devonshuk, Stephanie Chivers,
Christina Cotter, Nicole Rapp, Alison Elmo, Tina Spagnoli, Kali Garges and
Ursula Henwood.
Minerva Rowing won the event followed by Louisville and West Virginia. Complete
