WOMEN'S ROWING COACH INTERN
The University of Connecticut is accepting applications and nominations for
the full-time paid intern position in the Women’s Rowing program.
Responsibilities include: assisting the Head Women’s Rowing Coach in planning
and organizing all phases of a Division I women’s rowing program including
recruitment of prospective student-athletes and assisting with official visits;
assisting with coaching and development of the student-athlete, primarily with
freshman/walk-on rowers; assisting with organizing freshman/walk on try outs;
assisting with boat maintenance and repair; and other administrative duties as
assigned by the Head Women’s Rowing Coach.
Minimum Qualifications: bachelor’s degree; knowledge of NCAA regulations;
strong commitment to the academic goals of the University; organizational,
communication and public relations skills;
Preferred Qualifications: coaching experience and collegiate rowing experience;
experience driving the boat trailer.
