Michael Louis is coming into his
fourth season as assistant coach with the men’s tennis team.
Louis is a Native of New York, N.Y., where he attended Humanities High School
and was named the New York Public School Athletic League Tennis Player of The
Year his senior year, and was the recipient of the Iron Horse Award for tennis.
Louis was then recruited to come to the University of Connecticut to continue
his tennis at the collegiate level.
As a former team captain and four-year letter winner, Louis compiled an overall
record of 35-32 competing for the Huskies from 2000-2004.
For the 2005 season Louis stayed on with the team as a student-coach and has
since moved on to become the assistant coach.
Louis received his bachelor's degree in exercise physiology from UConn in 2005
and his master’s degree in sports management in 2007.
