Men's Basketball Claims 61-55 Decision at West Virginia

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (January 6, 2009) - The No. 5 University of Connecticut men’s basketball team captured a 61-55 victory at No. 25 West Virginia at the WVU Coliseum on Tuesday night. Jeff Adrien led all scorers with 17 points while also grabbing seven rebounds. Stanley Robinson had a game-high 15 boards, helping the Huskies out-rebounded the Mountaineers 52-33. Robinson contributed seven points and four assists in the game.

Men's Basketball Evens BIG EAST Record with 80-49 Win over Rutgers

STORRS, Conn. (January 3, 2009) - Junior Hasheem Thabeet (Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania) scored 15 points to lead four teammates in double-figures while the University of Connecticut men’s basketball team used some sizzling shooting in the second half as the second-ranked Huskies routed Rutgers, 80-49, Saturday evening before a sellout crowd of 10,167 at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion.

Jeff Adrien Leads Men's Basketball Past Fairfield 75-55

HARTFORD, Conn. (December 26, 2008) - Connecticut’s starting frontcourt of Jeff Adrien (Brookline, Mass.) and Hasheem Thabeet (Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania) combined for 41 points and 25 rebounds to lead the second-ranked Huskies to a hard-fought 75-55 men’s basketball victory over in-state rival Fairfield Friday evening before a crowd of 13,771 at the XL Center.

UConn's A.J. Price Leads Men's Basketball to 88-83 Overtime Victory against Gonzaga

SEATTLE, Wash. (December 20, 2008) - Senior A.J. Price (Amityville, N.Y.) had 24 points and 10 assists and forced overtime with a three-pointer with eight seconds left in regulation. The No. 2 nationally-ranked University of Connecticut men’s basketball team defeated No. 8-ranked Gonzaga University by a score of 88-83 in overtime in the Battle in Seattle in front of 16,763 at Key Arena.
