Men’s Hockey Falls To Canisius 3-2 In First Overtime Game Of The Season
STORRS, Conn. (November 16, 2008) - In their first overtime game of the season, the University of Connecticut men’s hockey team fell to Canisius 3-2. The Huskies (2-8-0, 2-3-0 Atlantic Hockey) got ahead in the first period to a 2-0 lead but allowed Canisius (5-3-2, 4-1-1 Atlantic Hockey) to tie the game up at 2-2 with two third period goals. The Griffs scored a goal 49 seconds into overtime to sweep the weekend series with UConn.

STORRS, Conn. (November 15, 2008) - The University of Connecticut men's hockey team fell 6-0 to Canisius Friday in Buffalo. The Griffs used a three goal second period to propel themselves past UConn. Men’s Hockey Falls To Yale 2-1 In Final Minute Of The Game
STORRS, Conn. (November 11, 2008) - The University of Connecticut men’s hockey team returned home for the first time in three games and took on Yale University for the first time ever at Mark E. Freitas Ice Forum. UConn went up early into the second period but after numerous penalties the Bulldogs were able to get on the board and tie the game up at one all. With less than a minute remaining in the game, Yale was able to get the game-winner in and remain unbeaten against the Huskies in their 37-year history.

Lone Goal Propels Bentley Over Men’s Hockey 1-0
WALTHAM, Mass. (November 7, 2008) - A lone Bentley goal during the first period proved to be the game winner when the University of Connecticut men’s hockey team traveled to Waltham for their first Atlantic Hockey game on the road during the 2008-09 season. The Huskies record dropped to 2-5-0, 2-1-0 Atlantic Hockey while Bentley won their first Atlantic Hockey game of the season.

Men's Hockey Falls On The Road For The Second Straight Game To Quinnipiac 4-1
HAMDEN, Conn. (November 1, 2008) - In a homecoming event for assistant coach, Joe Dumais (a 2006 graduate of Quinnipiac University), the University of Connecticut men’s hockey team fell to the home team 4-1 in regulation. The Huskies (2-4-0) scored the first and only goal of the first period taking an early lead, but they were unable to tally any more points on the night giving up two power play goals nearing the end of the game to lose their third straight game in their series with the Bobcats (2-2-0).
