Women's Track and Field Ready To Compete at ECAC Championship

STORRS, Conn. (May 15, 2008) - Senior Tamara Highsmith (East Haven, Conn.), who recorded a new school record with a mark of 13.44 meters (44-01.25) in the triple jump at the BIG EAST Outdoor Championship, will look to lead the University of Connecticut women's track and field team at the 2008 Outdoor ECAC Championship at Princeton this weekend.

Andrianos Leads Huskies at Brown Invitational

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (April 27, 2008) - Leah Andrianos (East Syracuse, N.Y.) won the 1,500 meter run with a winning time of 4:31.35 to qualify for the ECAC and BIG EAST Championships as she led the University of Connecticut women's track and field team at the Brown Springtime Invitational.

Women's Track and Field Records Best Penn Relays Performance In Program History

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (April 26, 2008) - The 4x200 relay team recorded a new UConn program record with a time of 1:35.22 to lead the University of Connecticut women's track and field team to the most successful Penn Relays in program history this weekend.
