SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. (AP) -- Sue Bird tallied 20 points Tuesday as No. 3 ranked Connecticut rolled to an 83-48 victory over Seton Hall, assuring the Huskies a share of the Big East women's regular season championship.

Shea Ralph and Asjha Jones each added 11 for Connecticut (25-2, 15-1) while Tamika Williams had 10 points and 12 rebounds. Arminda Moreno led Seton Hall (16-11, 9-7) with 15.

The game was decided early as the Huskies used their superior speed and a swarming defense to disrupt the Pirates. Connecticut forced Seton Hall into 16 turnovers in the first half while opening a 44-18 lead.

The Huskies shot 52 percent for the game, outrebounded Seton Hall, 41-24, and forced the Pirates into 25 turnovers.

Connecticut (25-2, 15-1) shares this year's title with No. 2 Notre Dame.
