Tonya Cardoza Named Women's Basketball Head Coach at Temple
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (July 1, 2008) - Tonya Cardoza, who spent the last 14 years as an assistant coach at the University of Connecticut under Hall of Fame Coach Geno Auriemma, has been named the 20th head women's basketball coach in Temple University history. Cardoza, who helped UConn win five National Championships, replaces Dawn Staley who was named the head coach at South Carolina on May 7, 2008.
