Connecticut Men's Tennis Dominate Providence

In the hunt for a BIG EAST tournament bid, the Huskies ensured their league victory over the visiting Friars by taking the doubles point in the early going. Freshman Andy Sweatt (Reno, Nev.) and senior co-captain Luke Grimshaw (Frederick, Md.) combined at No. 2 doubles to capture their 11th win this season defeating Keith Dressler and Chris Overzat of PC, 8-4. Sophomore Max Zubatsky (Milwaukee, Wis.) and senior co-captain Bryan Adinolfi (Hamden, Conn.) took a win at No. 3 by shutting down Craig Roslund and Matt Jarvis, 8-4.
The Huskies won 4-of-6 singles matches with victories from Zubatsky at No. 2, Sweatt at No. 3, sophomore Joe Lang (Winchester, Mass.) at No. 5 and Adinolfi at No. 6 to put UConn on top.
Connecticut is currently 9-11 overall and concludes its regular season schedule on Saturday, April 14 with a BIG EAST match versus Villanova at noon in Storrs.
