Men's Tennis Falls Short to St. John's

JAMAICA, N.Y. (April 3) -- While racking up a pair of doubles points, the University of Connecticut men's tennis team still fell short, 5-2, in a BIG EAST dual match with St. John's Tuesday afternoon in Jamaica, N.Y.
Senior co-captain Luke Grimshaw (Frederick, Md.) and freshman Andy Sweatt (Reno, Nev.) captured their ninth victory as doubles partners this season, defeating Brian Scharf and Christian Carere, 9-7, at No. 2 doubles. Senior co-captain Bryan Adinolfi (Hamden, Conn.) and sophomore Max Zubatsky (Milwaukee, Wis.) won the second doubles point with an 8-3 victory over Fabian Carchi and Cameron Lore at No. 3.
Connecticut drops to 7-11 overall, 0-3 BIG EAST and next hosts Georgetown on Saturday, April 7 at 11 a.m. The meeting with the Hoyas will be played at the UConn Tennis Courts, while the Connecticut women's tennis team host the Georgetown women simultaneously.
