Three Huskies Chosen to Play in Senior Bowl Game

STORRS, CT (January 11) - Three standouts from the University of Connecticut women’s soccer team have been chosen to play in the New England women’s Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior Bowl.
Goaltender Maria Yatrakis (Brooklyn, NY) and midfielders Salla Ranta (Helsinki, Finland) and Sarah Popper (Penn Yan, NY), who have just completed their final season with the Huskies are among 17 players in the New England region selected to play in the game.
The game is tentatively scheduled for either April 26 or May 4 following a Boston Breakers WUSA contest.
