Former UConn Women's Basketball Player Fiolkowski-Schoen Passes Away

Former University of Connecticut women's basketball player Anne Fiolkowski-Schoen passed away at the age of 38 on Dec. 16, 2003, in Springfield, Pa. Schoen played for the Huskies from 1983-87, was a 1987 UConn graduate and was born in Cedar Brook, N.J.
She is survived by her husband Michael O. Schoen and her mother Catherine Fiolkowski. Her father Albin E. Fiolkowski preceded her in death. She is also survived by four siblings -- Richard Fiolkowski, Mary Bannan, Peter Fiolkowski and Paul Fiolkowski and four nieces and nephews -- Peter, Michael, Tim and Sarah. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Saturday, Dec. 20, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at O'Leary Funeral Home at 640 East Springfield Rd., Springfield, Pa.
