Schnur a midfielder was honored as BIG EAST Co-Freshman of the Year and earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2003. More recently Schnur has been named Soccer Buzz Northeast Region Freshman of the Year, and was also named to Soccer Buzz’s All-Northeast Region Team. After anchoring the Husky defense for most of 2003, Cross was moved up to an attacking position by head coach Len Tsantiris, and the payoff was immediate. Cross scored three goals and two assists, all in NCAA Tournament play to help propel the Huskies into their fourth College Cup Final, and first since 1997.
