Women's Soccer Ranked Ninth In 2005 NSCAA Preseason Poll

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's soccer team was ranked ninth in the preseason poll recently released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
The Huskies were one of three BIG EAST schools to make the list. The 2004 College Cup winner, Notre Dame, was preseason number one and West Virginia was tabbed 15th.
Four other UConn opponents were also voted onto the list by the coaches association. Penn State (No. 8), Boston College (No. 16), Princeton (Tied for 21st) and Florida (No. 19) each received recognition.
Connecticut hosts its first game of the season on Thursday, August 18, at 7:00 p.m. against the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut in an exhibition match.
