Huskies Set To Face St. Peter's Tuesday

STORRS, Conn. (August 15, 2006) - After securing a scoreless tie against Hartwick to open the preseason slate, the University of Connecticut men's soccer team will face St. Peter's Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. in Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.

The Huskies are 5-0-1 against the Peacocks all-time after garnering a 2-0 victory last year in the UConn/adidas Soccer Classic. Kevin Burns (Greenfield, Ind.) scored the game-winning goal in the 62nd minute and Moshe Shalchon sealed the deal seven minutes later with his lone goal of the season.

UConn wraps up the preseason schedule Saturday night in Durham, N.C. as they take on Duke at 7:00 p.m. The regular season kicks off Aug. 26 against Loyola Marymount at 7:00 p.m. in  Morrone Stadium.
