Julius James To Appear On College Soccer Podcast

STORRS, Conn. (September 3, 2007) - University of Connecticut men’s soccer player and 2007 Hermann Trophy candidate Julius James (Maloney Gardens, Trinidad) will appear on The College Soccer Podcast Wednesday afternoon, along with UC Santa Barbara head coach Tom Von Steeg.
In just its second week on the air, The College Soccer Podcast is available from , with a new show airing each Wednesday afternoon.
It is hosted by Adam Zundell, a college soccer columnist for ESPN.com and the former soccer sports information director at West Virginia and Maryland. He has designed the show to bring you the voices and stories of some of the biggest names in college soccer, both coaches and players - a category that James undoubtedly falls into.
The preseason All-America candidate started off his senior campaign being named a candidate for the M.A.C. Hermann Trophy for the third time in his career after finishing as a semifinalist in 2006. He is also a two-time NSCAA All-America selection after finishing his junior season as the BIG EAST Defender of the Year for the second-straight year.
James and the Huskies are off to a 2-0-0 start to the season, posting victories over Canisius and Stony Brook this past weekend. Led by the senior captain, the defense held the teams to a combined three shots in two games.
