BIG EAST Championship Opening Ceremonies and Home Run Derby Cancelled

CLEARWATER, Fla. - Heavy rain throughout the early part of Monday and a forecast for more of the same into Monday evening has forced the cancellation of the opening ceremonies and Home Run Derby of the 2009 BIG EAST Baseball Championship.
The opening ceremonies and Home Run Derby will not be rescheduled.
The BIG EAST Championship is slated to begin as scheduled with four games on Tuesday, May 19 beginning at 10:00 a.m. UConn will face off with West Virginia at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday night.
