With the UConn Toyota Classic around the corner, the University of Connecticut volleyball team would like everyone to know the best way to support its endeavors this season. The Block Party is the official student fan club of the UConn women's volleyball team.
It is FREE to join and every member receives a FREE Block Party t-shirt. In addition, members of the Block Party have the opportunity to win great prizes at every game they are in the stands for. Prior to select games, free food will be available for Block Party members wearing their t-shirts only. Those who attend the most matches this season will have the opportunity to win gift cards to a variety of places, including: the UConn Co-op, Big Y, Bob's Stores and Dunkin Donuts.
To join the Block Party in time for the Huskies' UConn Toyota Classic Sept. 4-5, e-mail Libby McCormick at elizabeth.mccormick@uconn.edu. In the e-mail include you name, your class (fr., soph., jr., sr., or grad) and shirt size (small, medium, large, x-large or xx-large). You may also print and complete the attached registration form and return it the marketing table at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion this weekend.
Volleyball opens the season at home with a 7:30 p.m. match against Long Island in the second match of the UConn Toyota Classic. The first match is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. when New Hampshire takes on Texas Christian.
