NO. 1/1 CONTINUES ROAD TREK AT VILLANOVA: No. 1/1 Connecticut will play its second straight road game as it travels to face Villanova on Saturday afternoon beginning at 2:00 p.m. in a CPTV telecast.
The Huskies are fresh off a two-game stretch which saw them blast a pair of top-10 opponents, then No. 3/3 Notre Dame and then-No. 7/7 Duke by a combined margin of 151-94.
Connecticut will be looking to run its record to a perfect 19-0 for the third consecutive season and enters Saturday's matinee having won each of its last 20 "true" road games.
UConn leads the all-time series with Villanova 32-17 and have won each of the last six meetings in the series by an average of 30.3 ppg.
UConn has won 137 of its last 145 games against Big East opponents in the regular season, including its last 28 overall entering Saturday's game at Villanova.
UConn has won each of its last 127 games against non-ranked opponents.
The Huskies have won 57 consecutive games entering Saturday's meeting with Villanova - the second-longest winning streak in NCAA history.
The Huskies are 92-9 in their last 101 road games entering Saturday's meeting with Villanova and own a 14-8 all-time mark against the Wildcats on the road, with the last loss coming Feb. 28, 2004.
LAST OF THE UNDEFEATED: UConn enters play Saturday as one of two remaining undefeated teams nationally.

STIFLING DEFENSE: Connecticut enters play well on pace to shatter the program's scoring record for fewest points allowed per game, with its current total of 44.9 ppg allowed - through 18 games.
The UConn record is 51.4 ppg allowed in 2004-05.
Connecticut has held its opponents to a field goal percentage of less than .300 in each of its last three of its last four games overall - which includes wins over North Carolina, Marquette and Notre Dame.
HUSKIES IN JANUARY: UConn boasts an all-time mark of 223-83 in games played in the month of January.

CHARLES NAMED BIG EAST POW FOR THIRD STRAIGHT TIME: UConn senior Tina Charles was named BIG EAST Player of the Week for the period ending Jan. 17, conference officials announced today.
Charles led the Huskies to two wins last week with averages of 23.0 points and 12.0 rebounds. Top-ranked Connecticut won 68-43 at Marquette on Jan. 13 and then beat No. 3/3 Notre Dame 70-46 on Jan. 16 in the first-ever women's basketball GameDay on ESPN.
Charles recorded 23 points, 11 rebounds and two steals, while going 8-of-14 from the fi eld and 7-of-9 from the foul line at Marquette. Against Notre Dame, Charles added 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting from the field and a perfect 5-of-5 from the foul line, while also grabbing 12 rebounds.
Charles has earned BIG EAST Player of the Week honors for the fourth time this season and for the third straight week.
It is the first time a player has been named the conference Player for the Week in three consecutive weeks since former Louisville All-American Angel McCoughtry was honored Feb. 16, Feb. 23 and March 2 last season.
Former UConn All-American Rebecca Lobo set the Big East record by earning the award in four straight weeks in 1994 - Feb. 6, Feb. 13, Feb. 20 and Feb. 27. Former UConn All-American Nykesha Sales also earned the award in three straight weeks in 1998 (Jan. 26, Feb 2 and Feb. 9), while former Villanova All-American Shelly Pennefather was twice honored in three straight weeks (1987: Jan.4, Jan. 11, Jan. 18; 1986: Dec. 16, Dec. 23, Jan. 6).
UCONN ALL-TIME VS. VILLANOVA: UConn and Villanova will be meeting for the 50th time overall in the sport of women's basketball when they square off Saturday.
The Huskies lead the all-time series with the Wildcats 32-17 and have won each of the last six meetings in the series by an average of 30.3 ppg.
UConn is 14-8 on the road all-time against Duke with the last loss coming during the 2003-04 season.
The Huskies have been victorious in each of their last two trips to Villanova.
