STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut softball team will finish out tournament play during the regular season when they head to Hempstead, N.Y. for the Hofstra University Tournament on Saturday and Sunday, March 20 and 21. At the tournament the Huskies will face off against Boston University and the host team of Hofstra.
The Huskies are 6-3 all time against Boston University and have only played the Terriers twice at a neutral site going 1-1 during those meetings. Kiki Saveriano has been lights out for the Huskies starting and playing every inning in two of the last four wins, not allowing an earned run and finishing with one complete game and her first career shutout. She also struck out 13 during that time including a three-hit, 10 strikeout game against Stetson.
