STORRS, Conn. - Over 20,000 people lined the streets around the State Capitol in Hartford on Sunday afternoon for a parade and rally honoring the University of Connecticut women's basketball team, the 2010 NCAA Division I National Champions.
The Huskies capped off back-to-back 39-0 seasons with the program's second straight and seventh NCAA National Title overall with their 53-47 win over Stanford on April 6 in San Antonio.
Connecticut will enter the 2010-11 season riding a 78-game winning streak - the longest in NCAA Division I women's basketball history.
