Ford Named to TopDrawerSoccer.com Team of the Week

STORRS, Conn. - Senior captain Josh Ford was named to this week's TopDrawerSoccer.com Men's Soccer Team of the Week as announced Monday.
Ford and the Huskies blanked two opponents on their 2-0-0 week of play as they defeated Kentucky 3-0 before downing South Carolina 4-0. In those contests, Ford combined for eight saves, including a season-high five-save tally against South Carolina.
The senior has registered three shutouts this season and 16 saves as UConn is unbeaten at 5-0-1 on the year. Ford has developed into one of UConn's top goalkeepers of all-time as he is UConn's program leader in shutouts with 42 and ranks at the top amongst all-time Huskies in consecutive starts (71), while being third with 47 career wins.
The TopDrawerSoccer.com Tournament 48 rankings, which is the website's running attempt to project the postseason college soccer tournament qualifiers, has the Huskies ranked 10th this week. This week's ranking bests what the Huskies were ranked last Monday, which was No. 12.
