COMO, Italy - The University spent its final fully in Italy exploring the impossibly beautiful Lake Como. The team departed on a boat tour of the Lake this morning and got a look of some of the most famous villas and villages that border the lake. The team then docked in Bellagio for an hour before heading back to Como.
Lake Como is located in northern Italy along the border with Switzerland. It is 1400 feet deep at its deepest point and the soaring mountains that border the lake reach as high as 4,900 feet. Off in the distance one can see the beginning of the Alps.
Some of the highlights of the tour were viewing famous villas including the former villa of Gianni Versace, Villa Passalacqua, which was regularly rented by Napoleon Bonaparte and Winston Churchill and the villa owned by Virgin Group CEO Sir Richard Branson.
However, the site the players were most excited about seeing was the villa owned by George Clooney.
The team is scheduled to fly out of Rome early tomorrow morning in hopes of arriving in Boston around 3 p.m. EDT.
