Demolition Of Memorial Stadium Begins

STORRS, Conn. - The demolition of Memorial Stadium began on Tuesday in Storrs. The former home of UConn football is being taken down to make room for the UConn Basketball Development Center.
Memorial Stadium was the home of the UConn football team from its dedication in 1953 until its final game in 2002 as play began at Rentschler Field.
