UConn Readies for NCAA First Round Game

STORRS, Conn. - The top-ranked University of Connecticut women's basketball team held practice in the friendly confines of Gampel Pavilion on Saturday afternoon to prepare for Sunday's NCAA First Round matchup against Prairie View A&M University.
The Huskies tuned up with a 2:45-4:15pm practice to prepare for tomorrow night's game against the Panthers. Prior to the practice, seniors Stefanie Dolson (Port Jervis, N.Y.) and Bria Hartley (North Babylon, N.Y.) joined head coach Geno Auriemma in the media room for around 15 minutes of interviews. The entire team spoke with the media during the simultaneous 30-minute open locker room availability, during which the players also watched wraparound coverage of some of today's NCAA First Round games from around the country.

Tip time for Sunday night's game is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET on ESPN. Radio coverage will be provided by the UConn/IMG Network. Sunday night's winner will face the victor of an earlier game between Georgia and Saint Joseph's. The earlier contest tips off at 5:30pm and will also be covered on ESPN.
