BOSTON - Following a weekend away from competition due to weather concerns, the UConn men's track and field team resumes its 2016 indoor season on Saturday, Jan. 30 when it travels to Boston, Mass. to participate in the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University.
The unscored meet is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. with the long jump and will conclude following the 5,000m run at 7:15 p.m. For a complete meet schedule, please CLICK HERE.
"For the first time all season we're going to begin to take the training load off," said head coach Greg Roy. "Our top guys are competing for qualifying marks and we'll really get a chance to see what our freshmen can bring this weekend."
The squad was last in action on Jan. 17 when it claimed the 2016 Great Dane Classic title. The Huskies finished in the top position with 110.25 team points, checking in ahead of Navy (100.75) and Buffalo (67.5).
The Huskies competed at the event a season ago, picking up seven top-10 finishes. To view the 2015 meet recap, please CLICK HERE.
