UConn is set to compete in its third-ever season in the American Athletic Conference after picking claiming the inaugural indoor crown in 2013 and taking third at the indoor league meet a season ago.
"It's a new year and we're all ready to go," said Husky head coach Greg Roy. "All the guys are dying to get out there and compete. It'll be a good way to get our guys some experience - I expect that we'll have just about everyone competing in some capacity."
In December, Roy announced that four seniors, Chris Ackell, Selwyn Maxwell, Oluwatosin Edwards, and Ned Wilson would serve as team captains for the indoor campaign.
A season ago, UConn opened its 2015 season at the Yale Invitational, collecting four first-place finishes in the unscored meet. The 4x400m `A' relay team, which consisted of Stephon Henry, Nigel Walker, Trentan Beram and Robert Hovanec, took first-place (3:20.05), edging out Central Connecticut by .05 seconds.
The distance medley team made up of Alvaro Chavez, Nick O'Leary, Beram and Nicholas Bertoline followed up with another gold medal finish (10:06.82).
