Husky Day Celebrated At State Capitol

Women's basketball coach Geno Auriemma, men's basketball coach Kevin Ollie and football coach Randy Edsall and members of their teams all took part in the day.
The teams visited Gov. Dannel Malloy in his office and then visited the chambers of the House of Representatives.
All three coaches and UConn Director of Athletics David Benedict made comments in the House and team members were introduced.
Following the visit to the Governor and the House, the teams took part in a reception and autograph session.
HARTFORD, Conn. - The University of Connecticut men's and women's basketball and football teams made their annual visit to the State Capitol on Wednesday, April 19 for Husky Day.
Husky Day has been held each year since the early 1990s and is a way for the team to thank the Connecticut General Assembly and the Governor's Office for everything they do to support the entire University.
