Mensah Earns American Co-Offensive Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Junior running back Kevin Mensah earned American Athletic Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors after rushing for five touchdowns in a win at UMass on Saturday afternoon.
Mensah became the first Husky to record five touchdowns since Wilbur Gilliard did it against James Madison during the 1993 season.
The Worcester, Mass. native recorded his third 100-yard rushing game of the season with 164 yards on 19 carries and has now compiled 2299 yards in his career, ranking eighth all-time in program history.
In eight games, Mensah has already set a new career-high with nine rushing touchdowns and is averaging a career-high 87.0 yards per game.
