Alana Moore Receives September Husky High Five Honor

STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior Alana Moore has been recognized as a Student Athlete Success Program (SASP) Husky High Five recipient for the month of September.Â
The Husky High Fives recognizes UConn student-athletes that demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, growth and improvement in their commitment to succeeding in the classroom, their sport, and/or in the area of service and leadership. This award recognizes and honors students who have achieved success in these areas through hard work and dedication. When selecting the Husky High Five winners, they are selected on the criteria of demonstrating significant achievement in their coursework despite various challenges and showing growth in the areas of academics, personal development, leadership and service.
Moore has played in all 11 games this season and made seven starts. The Oakton, Va. native is majoring in physiology and neurobiology. This past summer, she participated in Huskies For Haiti to help raise awareness for healthcare and socioeconomic disparities in Haiti. The organization works with Angel Wings to ensure funds are properly utilized to provide aid locally for those that need it the most.
