MSwim/Dive Carries Strong Performance into Friday.

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The UConn men's swimming and diving team continued to put forth a great Rutgers Invitational with a strong performance on Friday.
The Huskies swept the 400 IM with freshmen Gavin Moak (3:56.11, 1st), McAllistar Milne (3:56.92, 2nd) and Billy Regan (3:59.52) all produced career-best times.
"Tonight was another strong night for our program," said head coach Chris Maiello. "We are rolling right now and our team is having a lot of fun. Our team depth is really taking shape. Just look at the 400IM where we have three freshman under four minutes that's is impressive."
Cooper Knapp took first place in the 100 Fly in his first race in the event this season. The senior captured a time of 49.09 while Will Mudlaff earned a podium spot with a third place mark of 49.70.
Six of the seven finalists in the A-Final were Huskies with Emils Jurcik and Josh Wroblewski scoring first and second in the event.
Will Kearsey secured another NCAA B Qualifying time in the 100 Backstroke with a 47.06 finish to capture first place.
Rowan King notched a win in the 100 Breaststroke while Regan and Josh Bryant took third and fourth, respectively.
Torrington Wagner and Kyle Kennedy closed the night with second and third place finishes in the 1M dive.
"We've had a good showing here at the invitational, said head diving coach Josh Arndt. "Friday night finished off with a pair of 2nd places in the Women's 3 meter and Men's 1 Meter competition. We are looking forward to a great day of Platform on Saturday and then heading back to Storrs to finish out a great semester."
UConn wraps up the Fall semester with the final day of the Rutgers Invite on Saturday.
