UConn Sophomores Win Gold at 2019 Pan Am Games

LIMA, Peru – UConn women's basketball sophomores Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Christyn Williams won gold with the U.S. Women's 3x3 Basketball Team at the 2019 Pan American Games. Team USA went 7-0 to win the first-ever Pan American Games 3x3 gold.
The U.S. beat Argentina 21-17 in the gold medal game. Team USA outscored its opponents 144-70 in the tournament.
Williams and Nelson-Ododa were joined by Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu and Ruthy Hebard in Lima.
Williams will travel to La Rochelle, France, for the next stop in the FIBA 3x3 Women's Series. She has traveled to Chengdu, China, Turin, Italy, and Ekaterinburg, Russia with Team USA for 3x3 this summer.
