UConn Announces Promos for Sunday’s MBB Game

STORRS, Conn. – UConn Athletics has announced the gameday promotions for its annual Coaches vs. Cancer game this Sunday, Jan 26. The Huskies will square off against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane, with tipoff slated for 12:00 pm.

Coaches vs. Cancer Awareness Table
At the main entrance concourse, fans will find Mrs. Hurley at the cancer awareness table where she will have a button making station setup. Fans are encouraged to bring a photo of a loved one affected by cancer and join Mrs. Hurley in making a memorial button to wear during the game. Cancer awareness ribbons will also be available at the table for fans to wear, and donations will be accepted to help raise funds for cancer research.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide initiative that empowers basketball coaches, their teams and their local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer. The main goal is to increase cancer awareness, promote healthy living, and fundraise through fun activities.
Kids Day
UConn Men's Basketball will also be hosting a Kids Day Carnival before Sunday's game versus Tulsa. Beginning in the XL Center Exhibition Hall at 10:15 a.m., families are welcome to stop by before the game for kid friendly activities. There will be an inflatable obstacle course, games, and everyone's favorite Husky – Jonathan!
The Exhibition Hall is accessible by entering the main entrance off of Trumbull Street in downtown Hartford then going down the stairs within the XL Center
50th Anniversary
Be sure to stay in your seats during halftime as we honor and recognize the 50th Anniversary of our 1969-70 Yankee Conference Champions.
COLLEGE ID DAY
Students bring your college friends because anyone with a college ID can get in for free this game. Remember to bring the ID to the game. For general fans, tickets start at $5 at UConnTickets.com.
