UConn Suspends All Athletics Activities Indefinitely
Healthy Tips and Coping Stratgegy for Student-Athletes
STORRS, Conn. – The health and well-being of our student-athletes, coaches, staff and fans is always our highest priority. With that in mind and after gathering guidance on the development of the COVID-19 coronavirus from the appropriate parties, UConn athletics has decided to suspend all athletics activities indefinitely. This action is consistent with the directive to suspend all spring sports competition, which was announced earlier today by the American Athletic Conference.
These changes have been implemented in consultation with state of Connecticut and University leadership and the American Athletic Conference. We will continue to monitor the developing situation and issue updates as necessary.
