Walker Earns WBCA All-America Honors

ATLANTA – UConn women's basketball forward Megan Walker was tabbed to the WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America team, as announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association Thursday.
Walker was the 2020 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Tournament Most Outstanding Player. In 2019-20, she averaged 19.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game while ranking eighth nationally with a 45.1 three-point field goal percentage. Walker scored 20 or more points in 18 games this season.
The Chesterfield, Va., native is also a 2020 AP and USBWA All-American.
Walker is the 23rd player in UConn history to earn WBCA All-America honors. A Husky has been named a WBCA All-American 45 times. This is the 13th straight season UConn has had at least one WBCA All-American.
Senior Crystal Dangerfield and sophomores Olivia Nelson-Ododa and Christyn Williams earned honorable mention honors.
Walker is joined on the All-America team by Chennedy Carter (Texas A&M), Lauren Cox (Baylor), Kathleen Doyle (Iowa), Dana Evans (Louisville), Tyasha Harris (South Carolina), Ruthy Hebard (Oregon), Sabrina Ionescu (Oregon), Aari McDonald (Arizona) and Satou Sabally (Oregon).
