STORRS, Conn. --- There are plenty of on-court reasons why UConn basketball fans are buying 2020-21 season tickets at near-record numbers – like the much-anticipated return to the Big East Conference and the prospect of two exciting teams ready to compete on the conference and the national level.
But there are off-court reasons for the spirited ticket sales as well – mainly, the numerous payment plans that UConn offers, making it easier than ever to purchase season tickets. UConn has stated that it will do everything it can, especially given the current conditions, to be as flexible as possible with fans interested in season tickets.
Not only can fans choose to stretch out the payments over five, seven, or even nine months, but the first payment is not due until July 31. And there are no finance charges, no interest charges and no fees associated with the payment plans. Season tickets provide the best value for Husky fans eager to watch the men's and women's teams in person next season.
Should conditions permit, UConn is looking forward to 17 dates for the men's team (9 at the XL Center, 8 at Gampel Pavilion) and 15 home dates for the women's team (8 at Gampel, 7 at XL).Â
Each team's full schedule will be available later this summer, but fans can count on 10 Big East Conference home games for each team as the Huskies renew rivalries against DePaul, Georgetown, Marquette, Providence, St. John's, Seton Hall and Villanova and begin new ones against Butler, Creighton and Xavier.
On the men's side, the Big East ended the 2019-20 season with four teams (Creighton, Villanova, Seton Hall, Butler) ranked in the Top 25 and another (Providence) also receiving votes. Already, many early projections for 2020-21 have placed Villanova and Creighton among the nation's Top 10, and the Big East again as one of the best top-to-bottom conferences in the country. UConn will be looking to add to its 10 regular-season and 7 Big East Tournament titles.
The UConn women will face the challenge of perennial national power DePaul as well as rising program Marquette as they seek to add to a legacy that already includes 19 regular-season Big East crowns and 18 Big East Tournament championships.
Husky Value season tickets prices are back for another year and allow fans to purchase season tickets for as low as $88 for the men's team and $70 for the women's team. Husky Value season tickets are discounted season tickets located in the upper corners of both venues.
