NORMAN, Okla. – The 2019-20 UConn men's golf team has been recognized by the Golf Coaches Association of America as an All-Academic Team, signifying a team grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2019-20 academic year.
A total of 250 teams across the country were honored by the GCAA, including 95 teams receiving Presidents Special Recognition, which signifies a team GPA of 3.5 or better. Likewise, joining UConn as All-Academic Teams are Big East members DePaul, Georgetown and Xavier, as well as AAC members UCF, Houston and USF.
Although the golf spring season was cut short by the coronavirus pandemic, the UConn team had three Top Five and five Top 10 finishes in seven events, with a season-best third-place finish at the UConn Invitational at GreatHorse.
