She will have four more years of eligibility as all winter sport athletes were granted an extra year by the NCAA. A 6-foot-2 guard, Poffenbarger is the 30th-ranked recruit in her class. She won gold with USA Basketball at the 2019 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.
On Wednesday, UConn announced the addition of a non-conference game at No. 15 Arkansas on Thursday, Jan. 28. The teams will tip at 5 p.m. ET on ESPN2.
