No. 3 UConn Faces No. 19 Arkansas Thursday

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 3 UConn women's basketball team (10-0) begins a two-game road trip against ranked teams as the Huskies travel to No. 19 Arkansas (11-6) Thursday at 6 p.m. ET. The game will air on ESPN2 and 97-9 ESPN.
UConn notched a 72-41 win over Georgetown last Saturday. The game was UConn's third in five days. Freshman Nika Mu¨hl made her first career start vs. the Hoyas. Junior Olivia Nelson-Ododa led UConn with 19 points and nine rebounds. Four Huskies finished in double digits vs. the Hoyas. The Huskies scored 30 points in the paint and 29 points off turnovers.
UConn is 1-0 all-time vs. Arkansas. The teams' only previous meeting came on Nov. 14, 1998. UConn beat Arkansas 100-64 in the Four in the Fall tournament in San Jose, Calif.
Arkansas fell at No. 22 Georgia, 75-73, Monday. This season, Chelsea Dungee leads the Razorbacks with 21.6 points per game. Arkansas ranks third nationally in three pointers attempted (422) and second in three pointers made (158). Head coach Mike Neighbors is in his fourth season at Arkansas.
Class of 2021 signee Saylor Poffenbarger enrolled at UConn earlier this month and has joined the team. She will be eligible this season and will have an additional four years of eligibility.
Head coach Geno Auriemma became just the second women's basketball coach to reach 1,100 wins with a victory over Tennessee last week. Auriemma was the fastest women's coach to 700, 800, 900, 1,000 and 1,100 career wins and fastest coach in men's or women's to 800, 900, 1,000 and 1,100.
