UConn Tennis Signs Isabel Petri Bere for Fall 2021

STORRS, Conn. - UConn Director of Tennis Glenn Marshall announced that the program has signed Isabel Petri Bere (Sweden) to a National Letter of Intent and she is set to join the Huskies this fall.
"I am very much looking forward to welcoming Isabel to our program in the fall," stated Marshall. "She has been a top player in Sweden for many years and has a lot of great team and tournament experience. Her background has prepared her to make the transition to Division I tennis, and I am excited to see her game grow at the collegiate level."
In 2020, Petri Bere won the Regional Championships outdoors in both singles and doubles a record of 42-24 in singles and 21-4 in doubles for the season. She received her school's award for "Best Student-Athlete" twice, after the fall of 2019 and prior to summer break in 2020. In 2019, she won the Regional Championships in singles, outdoors, and was one of 16 players in the country of players boring in 2001 and 2002 to qualify and play in the Swedish Championships outdoors. She finished sixth among the 16 players.
She posted a combined singles and doubles record of 10-2 (5-1 in singles/5-1 in doubles) in the matches in the south division in Sweden. She played the maximum number of matches possible, both singles and doubles, the first three at No. 2 singles and the last three at No. 1, and helped the team move up to the highest division, Elitserien in Sweden.
