Labbé, Canada to Compete for Olympic Gold

TOKYO – UConn women's soccer alumna Stephanie Labbé and the Canadian National Team will face Sweden with a gold medal on the line at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics on Thursday at 10 p.m. ET.
Canada advanced to the gold medal game with a 1-0 win over the United States on Monday in the semifinals. The win was Canada's first over the USA in 20 years.
This is Canada's first appearance in the gold medal game after winning bronze at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.
Canada remains undefeated in Tokyo with a 3-0-2 overall record. Labbé has totaled 358 minutes in goal for Canada at the Olympics and has allowed just one goal in that time. Labbé won bronze with Canada at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
