UConn Releases 2021-22 Non-Conference Schedule

STORRS, Conn. – The UConn women's basketball team will once again compete in one of the toughest non-conference slates as the Huskies released their 2021-22 non-conference schedule Thursday.
"I think this team is young and has a lot of energy," head coach Geno Auriemma said. "We want them to compete against the top teams in the country. We have a lot of players who haven't experienced what it is to play in front of a crowd at UConn, so we're hopeful and excited that will happen this season."
Six of UConn's non-conference opponents finished last season in the top 25 of the NCAA NET Rankings: South Carolina (4), Louisville (6), UCLA (8), Oregon (10), Tennessee (16) and Arkansas (24).
After an exhibition against Fort Hays State on Nov. 7, the Huskies kick off the season in Connecticut against Arkansas on Nov. 14.
UConn will compete in the Battle 4 Atlantis from Nov. 20-22 in the Bahamas. The Huskies will open the tournament vs. Minnesota before facing USF or Syracuse. Resort and ticket packages for UConn fans to the Battle 4 Atlantis Women's Tournament can be found HERE.
In a week against ACC teams, the Huskies return home to host Notre Dame on Dec. 5 before traveling to Georgia Tech on Dec. 9. The game vs. the Yellow Jackets will be a homecoming game for Winder, Ga., native Olivia Nelson-Ododa.
UConn faces UCLA at the Prudential Center on Dec. 11 in the Never Forget Tribute Classic (TICKETS). The Huskies take on Louisville at Mohegan Sun Arena on Dec. 19 in the Basketball Hall of Fame Women's Showcase (TICKETS).
UConn will travel to Oregon on Martin Luther King Day (Jan. 17). The game will serve as a homecoming game for senior Evina Westbrook, a native of Salem, Ore.
Ten days later, the Huskies travel to South Carolina on Jan. 27. The Huskies finish off non-conference play vs. Tennessee on Feb. 6.
