Fudd Named to Ann Meyers Drysdale Award Watch List

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – UConn women's basketball sophomore guard Azzi Fudd was one of 20 watch-list candidates selected for the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award, as announced Tuesday. The award recognizes the top shooting guard in women's NCAA Division I college basketball.
Fudd averaged 12.1 points as a freshman in 2021-22. She was named to the 2022 BIG EAST All-Freshman team and the NCAA Tournament Bridgeport All-Region Team. Fudd led the team with a 43.0 three-point field goal percentage.
UConn alumna Christyn Williams earned the 2022 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award.
The winner of the 2023 Ann Meyers Drysdale Award will be presented on a to be determined date, along with the other four members of the Women's Starting Five. Additional awards being presented include the Nancy Lieberman Award (Point Guard), Cheryl Miller Award (Small Forward), Katrina McClain Award (Power Forward) and the Lisa Leslie Award (Center), in addition to the Men's Starting Five.
