No. 10 Huskies Travel to Creighton Wednesday

STORRS, Conn. – The 10th-ranked UConn women's basketball team (13-4, 8-0 BIG EAST) takes on Creighton (15-5, 10-2) Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. ET in D.J. Sokol Arena. The game will air on SNY and the UConn Sports Network.
UConn's game at Creighton finishes a four-game road stint. The Huskies' next four games will be played in Connecticut. UConn hosts Butler in Gampel Pavilion Friday before finishing off non-conference play vs. No. 7 Tennessee Sunday at the XL Center. The Huskies host Villanova Wednesday, Feb. 9, at XL before finishing off the homestand vs. DePaul on Friday, Feb. 11, in Gampel.
UConn is coming off a 69-61 win over Providence on Sunday. Senior Christyn Williams led UConn with 19 points and seven rebounds in the game. Redshirt senior Evina Westbrook added 13 points off the bench.
UConn is 4-0 all-time vs. Creighton. The teams face off on Jan. 9 in Gampel Pavilion, a 63-55 win for UConn. Freshman Caroline Ducharme led the Huskies with 17 points in the game.
Creighton also most recently played Providence, picking up a 95-71 win. Lauren Jensen led the team with 20 points in the game. This season, Emma Ronsiek leads the Bluejays with 14.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game. Head coach Jim Flanery is in his 20th season at Creighton.
UConn's next game on Feb. 4 vs. Butler will honor the Black Fives era of basketball in a BIG EAST Conference initiative to celebrate Black History Month. The Huskies will wear shooting shirts honoring the Hartford Tigerettes, The Tigerettes were a member of the CT Girls League. For more information on the Black Fives, click HERE.
The Huskies' game vs. Tennessee on Feb. 6 is a White Out! Fans are encouraged to wear white to the game.
