Peter Netisingha Joins Women's Volleyball Staff

STORRS, Conn. - Peter Netisingha, who owns over a decade of coaching experience, has joined the UConn women's volleyball program as an assistant coach, head coach Ellen Herman-Kimball announced Monday.
Netisingha arrives to Storrs after spending a year as a volunteer assistant with fellow BIG EAST member Marquette. Nettisingha has coached at four different NCAA DI schools, owns 11 years of collegiate coaching experience, and also has extensive experience coaching at the club level.
"I am ecstatic to hit the ground running with the Husky volleyball program and want to thank Ellen Herman-Kimball, Ellen Tripp, David Benedict and, of course, the members of the volleyball team for welcoming me to the UConn family," exclaimed Netisingha. "I knew from my first conversation with Ellen that UConn volleyball has a vibe that aligns with my values and the sky's the limit for this program. I can't wait to get in the gym with the team. Go Huskies!"
Prior to his stint with the Golden Eagles, Netisingha spent three seasons with MKE Sting Volleyball Club in Milwaukee. Before landing in Wisconsin, Netisingha spent two years on staff at Illinois State, aiding the Redbirds to back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference titles. He also served two years as a graduate assistant at Nebraska, where he assisted the Cornhuskers to the 2015 National Championship and an Elite Eight appearance in 2014.
"I am thrilled to add Peter the our growing program," stated Herman-Kimball. "He is excited and motivated to continue to build a championship like experience here at UConn and with his wide range of experience, along with his contagious personality, I am confident we will continue to move this program in the right trajectory together."
Netisingha began his career as a volunteer assistant at Wisconsin from 2009-11, and went on to fill fill the same role on staff at Ohio for another two seasons.
Netisingha graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in sociology.
