GULF SHORES, Al. – Senior Jared Nelson (Rutland, Vt.) and sophomore Tommy Dallahan (Simsbury, Conn.) led the UConn men's golf team as the Huskies competed in the Craft Farms Intercollegiate, which finished on Tuesday at Craft Farms Golf Club in Gulf Shores, Al.
Nelson and Dallahan each fired a 6-over, 222, to finish as part of a tie for 36th place in the 75-player field. Nelson shot a 77-71-74=222, which included his 12th round of par-or-better this year. Dallahan, coming off an individual win at the Bash at the Beach, shot an 80-71-71=222, which brought his total of par-or-better rounds this year to 13.
Also for the Huskies, sophomore Jimmy Paradise (Tampa, Fla.) shot and 8-over, 74-77-73= 224 to tie for 49th place, sophomore Caleb Manuel (Topsham, Me.) tied for 61st place with a 12-over, 79-73-76=228, and freshman Trevor Lopez (Winchester, Mass.) finished 73rd with a 21-over, 82-78-77=237.
Playing as an individual, freshman Eric Boulger (Walpole, Mass.) tied for 64th place with a 14-over, 74-80-76=230.
As a team, the Huskies shot an aggregate 32-over, 310-292-294=896.
UConn competes in its final event of the regular season in April 16-17, playing in The Rutherford, on the Penn State Blue Course in State College, Pa.
